Location makes a difference.

Wow, I was finally able to park my Seneca next to my house! It was parked at a lot almost two hours away which made working on it very difficult. I was able to store it a little over twenty minutes away, which was better but still needed a lot of planing to get work done.
Now, it's at my house and what a difference it made. If I forget something, two seconds is all I need. And lunch is closer. Happy days!

Glad for you. It's so much easier to maintain and maybe modify your trailer a bit. Another plus is security.

I was lucky enough to have the space on the one side of my house. I put in a gravel extension to my driveway on that side and that is the spot for my rig. I can not imagine not having it right there. We can use it as a guest house when the in-laws come and visit as well(added bonus

For sure! Had ever rig we ever owned parked at the house. Always part of the criteria when we went house hunting.

It really is a big plus having it parked at home. Maintenance and modifications are almost enjoyable when your about 25 feet from all your tools. Like Yooper96 said security is also a big plus. Now the downside. DW spends way to much time in it coming up with modification’s she wants done to “ her” Hummingbird! Enjoy having your RV life a little easier.

Well, first I dreamed of having a Super C. Now my dream is to be able to store it inside next to my house... Baby steps...

I have a 3 car double deep garage so I am lucky there, but the driveway has a weird slope to it and is too short to get the Seneca into. The street is really sloped and no amount of ramps will safely level it. I can't put the slides out when it is on the street either and there there is the HOA that will not let you have a RV on the street or your driveway for more than 48 hours anyway. I am slowly working the wife towards a barndominium.

I had to tractor part of the fire road as well as trim more trees than I wanted to to get in but I got more done today than I have in the last week.

I have ours at home as well. Building a shelter for the current one is a priority. I installed a "campground" style power box with 50 / 30 / 20 amps available and I have a sewer clean out within fairly easy reach. The only thing missing is the shelter. I am very thankful for having the ability to store at home.

We don't have a cover for ours but we do have a nice level spot beside our shop that has a water faucet and a 30 and 20 amp electric plugs. We use a macerator and 100 feet of hose to the septic tank and it works very well. The only problem with this convenience is I am in it every day tinkering with something! But, it is a good problem!

That's great!

We are so glad we can park on the pad behind our house! We can keep an eye on it, work on it, visit it anytime to check for things like mice or what we can't find in the house... ; )

Big amen to that. My wife and I moved to our forever home in Gainesville Florida. We made sure we had a big lot (3/4 of an acre), with no homeowners governing what we can and cannot do. The 'hood has nice homes, great neighbors, and a nice wide and long driveway. I wired an outside 30 amp outlet to my breaker box, and can plug in the Greyhawk to it to keep it charged and maintained while not at a campsite.

The last thing I want to do is have a sewage connection made to our septic tank. Then we will have the perfect setup; If a hurricane causes loss of public electric power, we can fire up the campers generator, and stay in it until all is restored, and have a dump site home location for when we boondock camp.

Ok, now I'm getting jealous here. I'm not actually in my car park but on the entrance road which is dirt and 23 meters from my home. I moved it back to storage since it is sprinkling and being dirt, it's slicker than dog snot when wet.

Built a barn just for the Seneca. 60 amp service, water and septic. Cemented floor. About 60 feet from the side door of the house.
Wouldn't have it any other way.

I was able to add a concrete pad and a second "toy " asphalt driveway at my house (a gift from the city permit department because I have a lot of street frontage). In three years it's now paid for with no storage fees and not counting the convenience.
