28BHBE, where to put EMS?

For those that have a 28BHBE and installed a hardwired EMS, where did you put it? I remember a thread a while back where someone put theirs next to the water heater. Is there room behind the power distribution panel for an EMS?

Mounting the EMS 'behind' the power distribution breaker/fuse panel IMO may limit access/servicing/viewing of it, especially if the unit has a digital readout on the EMS cover lid.

JOF 28BHBE/EMS thread reference: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...s-35511-2.html

Just a thought, is there room to mount it in the bottom kitchen sink cabinet on the common wall-panel separating the cabinet area and the breaker/fuse center?

Not sure where the 28BHBE HWH is located to comment other then would the EMS interfere with service/removal of the HWH.

I mounted my 2018 24RBS EMS in the lower cabinet of my entertainment center..., the outside shore power 30amp junction box was located here, I removed the junction box and replaced it with the EMS...., made landing wires straight forward.

I removed the following.......

...... and replaced with EMS........

I put mine just behind the water heater. I took out the original cord storage box because I did the Marinco detachable cord upgrade at the same time. The junction box was right there where the external power cord met the interior Romex so I just replaced that box with the EMS. It seems to be a good spot. It was a bit tight working on my stomach under the bottom bunk but definitely doable. I mounted the remote display in the blank spot just to left of the upper bunk ladder.

Thanks for the replies! I pulled the Progressive out of the 26BH when I sold it and it has the external display. I'll have to see that the Marinco detachable cord is about. If it makes it any easier to install the EMS in that crappy position laying prone on the lower bunk, I am in.
