Anybody else have a 264
There is such a fantastic variety of TT’s.
But how about us valiant 264bh owners. Can I get a shout out?

2019 264BH owner here. Bought it mid last summer. Upgraded from a 17' hybrid. Wish we'd done it sooner. We love it. Family of 4, kids 3 and 5. And two mini golden doodles. Perfect amount of space for us right now and I think the only floorplan I've seen with a 3 seat couch.

New 264BH owner here...
We pick our 2020 264BH up this Saturday (1/25/20). We've researched this model for nearly 2 years and have high hopes! Mainly, it will just be two of us, but occasionally there will be son + 3 grandkids or other son with GF + 2 furry grandkids. Seems like the best compromise on features, capacity, and ease of towing. Oh, and $$ of course!

X2 on the great floor plan. It’s just about perfect for the two of us, along with occasionally being joined by the grandkids.
Have you done any interesting mods, yet? I hung a few shelves, and want to do do something to make the space under the dining table benches easier to access. (That involves a saw, so it needs to be thought through very carefully.) But nothing major, yet.

We have a 2018 264BHW we bought new last year. Great layout! Ours is the Baja Edition with the Rocky Mt package, didn't want the lift kit as it barely fits in our barn for storage but it was such a great deal I couldn't pass it up.

26BH, here. Just the gussied up version of the 264. We bought our's for the lack of slides, and have substantially reconfigured the interior to suit us.
We do a little Michigan camping in the summer, but mostly we use it to tour the south in the winter, with additional spring and fall trips to the south. We're definitely getting use out of it.
We're big fans of this no frills, simple trailer.

Curious where you put some shelves up?
I've thought about the dinette bench access too. I wish there was a cabinet door there like some models. I've thought about tackling that. Dealer said they can get exact match doors as long as it's the same door used elsewhere in the trailer. Also thought about a door on the backside of the front bench. Like you said tho... All involve taking a saw to the nice new trailer...
I've done a couple mods
- Valterra hose carrier so I can carry both halves of my Thetford Titan hose kit
- Old toolbox and a short chunk of 2" PVC pipe painted black and attached to the bumper to carry the misc sewer fittings and toilet wand
- Had dealer install black tank flush as part of the deal
- Battery shut-off and aux fuse block
- Dual propane tank cover, added a light to it too to help hitching in the dark since no lighted power tongue jack on these
- Makeshift stove cover made from a cutting board (repurposed from our hybrid)
And a long wish list I'm not up to typing on my phone... :-)

We love Western Michigan. Fingers crossed there's some of it left next summer....

I’ve done a few of these (bike rack, battery cutoff, moved the spare). The foam under the beds sounds like a great idea!
We plan to update that center door over the dinette as well. Having a blank there seems stupid or lazy or both (on the part of the design team).
The “mods” thread has one with the cabinet above the window, and it looks really good.

What kind of mileage do you see towing your trailer with your Ram 1500? I had a Ram 3500 diesel that I just sold as it was overkill for towing this trailer and rode like a tank. I haven't towed with my 1500 yet but it's got 3.92 gears, built brake control and I am putting some air bags on it as well.
What kind of battery cut off did you go with? I see a few different styles out there and haven't decided which one I want yet.

The TV gets 17 for normal highway driving, 13 in city driving, and about 9 when pulling Patches. The mid-Atlantic has some decent hills, but only a few true mountains. And I am in my vehicle a lot for work.
With all that baked in, we felt that the 2500 was more than we needed, as was going with a diesel. It turns out that the 1500 barely breaks a sweat on our trips, and we’ve been thrilled with it for everyday use.
I got a basic cutoff from Amazon which I attached to the battery case.
Ampper Battery Switch, 12-48 V Battery Power Cut Master Switch Disconnect Isolator for Car, Vehicle, RV and Boat (On/Off).
https://www.amazon.com/Ampper-Batter.../dp/B07413JWLD. It took all of about 9 minutes to install it. I run the negative lines through it.

2017 264BHW here. Love it and use it 30+ nights a year all over Michigan with my wife and I and three kids 16, 12, 10. Gets a little tight on space if we are inside a long time but worth it for the low cost and simplicity (no slides). The use of space and layout is perfect for the size.
Our mods/top replacements include:
- Added third cabinet door in middle of cabinet above dinette (easy mod, ordered door and hardware through dealer)
- Power tongue jack with LED lights
- Replace shower head with Oxygenics 26781 (should have replaced day 1)
- Replace MB mattress with Zinus Ultima Comfort Memory Foam 8 Inch Mattress
- Multiple command hooks for coats and kitchen utensils
- TV over dinette

Through my dealer around 50-$60 with hardware. I was pleasantly surprised. Worth every penny as that middle area of the cabinet is otherwise tough to reach. Dealer ordered and had Jayco ship directly to my house.

Where did you mount your battery cutoff switch at?

The battery cut off switch went right on the battery case. It’s a soft plastic, so I could drill 4 holes pretty easily.

How do you like your new mattress? After only 1 night on that factory mattress, it has got to go and we were looking at the Zinus 8" mattress...Any real-world feedback would be appreciated.

2017 264BHW. love it, it is my first TT. Was amazed how inexpensive it was compared to others. Even smaller TT were more. Salesman said its a loss leader to get people into RV ing and they come back a couple years later and upgrade.
yep. Im ready to upgrade. Want a slide version to have the roomer space at kitchen/dinette area.

We love our Zinus 8". We've had it for almost 2 years and it still feels new. Very comfortable and does a good job of isolating movement. We also have a plush topper because my wife likes a soft top. Got the mattress on Amazon for under $150 for the short queen. Fits perfect in our 264BHW.
Agree on the factory mattress-awful!
