We also installed a peel and stick backsplash from Lowes. It's been up for 18 months and still looks great.

Here's my sewer bits box and toilet wand carrier. Old toolbox I wasn't using. Picture is from our hybrid but just unbolted it and moved it to the Flight. Even with the black flush, I still like manually wanding the black tank once in a while. The Camco wand fits perfect in a chunk of 2" PVC.Click image for larger version

We have a 2017 264BHW. We bought it new because the simple layout gave us everything we needed. You get a lot of camper for the money. It works great for me and my wife and our small grand kids. This trailer has performed well for us. No major issues.

Some of our modifications include:
- Added another kitchen cabinet along side the original cabinets
- Added a 3rd kitchen drawer
- Added a lift kit to access the storage under the bed

264bh

I purchased mine new in August of 2019. I have 10,000 miles on it to date and I am leaving northeast PA on February 3. Going to Big Bend NP in Texas and then New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. Total length of trip will be 31 days.
I have to say I really enjoy my TT. Main reason - I camp by myself! My DW only likes hotels.
Really like some of the mods. I have done a few myself.
Happy trails!

Digging the extra cabinet. Did you just hang it like a typical wall cabinet?

Agree on the factory mattress-awful!
Our Zinus 8” came in the other day and we put it in on Saturday. How long does it take to expand?

It quickly got to about 90% expanded then took a few days to full expand. Don’t worry it will get there.

I had one for about a year and we loved it. We took it to Fl from TX several times. We had a blast. I love the extra space on the back and easy to pull. As for the question on the mattress, I order the memory foam from Amazon and I added to the mattress and I am good to go. I strongly recommend to add the instead of buying a whole new mattress but that is just my humble opinion. I made upgrades to the shower head, door, 15K for AC and a couple more upgrades to the bathroom.

Best of luck, I am selling it and just upgraded to a 284BHS but truly enjoyed the 264BH, no doubt about it...

We have a 2018 26bh.
The biggest change we made was to add a brace to the center of the bed to give us more support. We also added a mattress topper to our bed, and encased all the mattresses in allergy encasements.

We added shoe storage to the support of the island queen.
Battery disconnect switch
Magnetized dry-erase board below the tv (to post campground info so it doesn't clutter up table).
Hanging organizer for wash cloths.
Bike rack on tongue.
Plugged all holes with copper mesh and secured with great stuff.

I also made reflectix shades for the skylights and for a few of the windows to help keep it cooler in the summer. I sewed material to the part that faces inside so it looks more like a regular sunshade, but the reflectix faces out.

We bought soft-sided baskets for our smaller clothing items for the cabinets above the island queen. I bought plastic shower caddies from dollar tree to organize the kitchen and bathroom cabinets.

solar shade for lower bunk window. That lower bunk gets so hot, and this really helps.

Hey OP.
What kind of shoe storage did you add?

I'm surprised that after reading all the mods everyone has done, only a few said they added support the the bed. On all my Jayflights, that has been the 1st thing i have done to them..... makes it like night and day when sleeping on the factory mattress. Don't get me wrong, those trailer mattress are nothing to brag about, but with the underbed support, and a topper ..... much much better

We have moved the organizer since this pic was taken. We originally had it secured with double-sided velcro only, but that wouldn't hold with the fabric. We ended up using small screws to secure it to the "studlets" on the island queen frame.

We were intimidated to try it. But it was so worth the effort.

My wife and I are considering buying a travel trailer. Are the size of the holding tanks ever an issue? I ask because I like the room of a trailer with a slide, but the 26BH has large holding tanks, but no slide. Not sure if this is ever really an issue. We have two kids, with one on the way, if that helps. Also really not sure of the slide vs. no slide thing either. I do like the 26BH and 264 layouts.

My wife got truly excited when she saw this mod! This is going on the list.
